Biography

Daniela Sousa is a Principal Research Engineer on the Industry Futures team in Birmingham, UK, who joined Autodesk in 2016 with the Delcam acquisition. She automated a variety of CAD/CAM processes for various industries (aerospace, orthotics, dental, etc.), delivering subtractive manufacturing solutions to be used in production lines. Her research is focused on the development of Digital Twins to enhance manufacturing, with a particular emphasis on adaptive assembly processes, use-to-design digital twins, and recommendation systems for manufacturing. She has a BSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering and an MSc in Informatics and Automation.
