Project
Robotics at Autodesk Research
The Robotics Team at Autodesk Research is led by Sachin Chitta and is primarily based in San Francisco, CA.
The robotics team at Autodesk explores applications of robots in manufacturing and construction. Our current focus is on flexible and adaptive robotic assembly. We aim to design systems that are flexible and can be easily repurposed for new assembly tasks. We also aim for adaptivity, allowing our systems to adapt to part, environment, and process variations. We combine multi-modal sensor information including vision and force sensing with deep-learning based perception and learned behaviors in a systems approach to assembling complex products.
