Biography

Noa Kaplan is a Senior Research & Design Engineer at the Technology Center in San Francisco. She is invested in refining digital fabrication workflows and supporting research-driven physical prototyping. Noa is also passionate about teaching 3D modeling processes including photogrammetry, dynamics simulation, generative design, and volumetric data visualization.

Before joining Autodesk, Noa researched 3D reconstruction technologies at USC and taught design and digital fabrication at UCLA. Noa has exhibited work at SIGGRAPH, CODAME, Ars Electronica, and the Hammer Museum. She has participated in residencies and fellowships at IDEO, Autodesk, Electric Objects, and Eyeo, and her work has been featured in Wired Magazine, Discovery VR, and the Huffington Post. In 2023, Noa earned a doctorate in Interactive Media/Media Arts + Practice from the University of Southern California, School of Cinematic Arts.
