Vice President, Research
Mike leads a world-class team of researchers, engineers, and other specialists at Autodesk who are exploring the future of how people will design and make things. His team works in the areas of: Machine Learning, Human-Computer Interaction, Simulation and Systems, Optimization, Geometry, Visualization and Robotic Control, and Sensing. Mike has led several technology and product transformation efforts at Autodesk. Most recently, he lead the development of Autodesk’s Machine Learning competency through the formation of the Autodesk AI Lab and our Data Ethics program. Prior to that Mike led the early development of Autodesk’s cloud technology and infrastructure. Mike has a background in computer graphics, machine learning, distributed systems, and mathematical analysis. He holds an MS in Computer Science from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
