Biography

Matthew Bouchard is a Senior Manager, Research Science in the Autodesk AI Lab in, based in San Francisco where his focus is 3D Dataset creation and generative machine learning. Most recently he spent 6 years at Apple working on computer vision and machine learning algorithms for the AR/VR Vision Pro headset, including a photorealistic, generative AI Avatar system called “Persona.”

Previous he spent 10 years in the film visual effects industry as a technical director at Weta Digital and Industrial Light and Magic, where he contributed to eight Academy Award–nominated films (and two winners) —including Avatar, Harry Potter 3, and AI: Artificial Intelligence. He holds B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
