Principal Research Engineer



Kendra Wannamaker is a Principal Research Engineer based in Toronto, Canada. With a master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Calgary, Kendra brings expertise and passion to her role as a member of the Human Computer Interaction and Visualization team. Her day to day work primarily focuses on bringing researchers’ visions to life through prototyping. Kendra’s research encompasses a range of interests, including personal informatics, situated visualizations, and the exploration of learning. She has excelled in both teaching and research, receiving the Fred A. McKinnon Award in 2020, Honorable Mention at VIS 2018, and two teaching excellence awards. Kendra’s dedication and passion for her field continue to inspire and advance the industry.
