Biography
Musabbir joined Autodesk Research in 2024 as a Principal Software Engineer in London. He currently works at the intersection of AI and geometric modeling to accelerate 3D modeling workflows, and has contributed to building an AEC generative design engine that provides key building design metrics during the conceptual design phase while enhancing collaboration between architects and engineers.
Musabbir holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge and has a background in aerospace engineering, geometric modeling, and numerical simulation. His doctoral research focused on bridging the gap between design and simulation, with particular expertise in isogeometric analysis and immersed finite element methods. Throughout his career, Musabbir has applied his expertise across diverse domains, from aerospace applications including gearbox and helicopter component modeling to developing robust, scalable software solutions for complex engineering challenges.
Outside of work, Musabbir enjoys cycling, making jigsaw puzzles, and building personal electronics projects using Raspberry Pi and embedded systems.
