Autodesk Research is opening two, first of their kind, Visiting Scholar positions to help direct the future of groundbreaking research in intelligent construction and design for human experience.  The initiative will foster interdisciplinary collaboration across Autodesk’s key industries, driving the evolution of how things are imagined, built, and brought to life.

Visiting Scholar positions invite brilliant minds to work with us to collectively identify bold new strategic research directions. At Autodesk, Visiting Scholars will have the unique opportunity to be at the forefront of industry-leading research, tackling real-world problems and pioneering solutions. Join us, and your innovations could shape the Autodesk products of tomorrow, making a lasting impact on the fields of design and construction.

If you’re ready to shape the future with us, we invite you to apply to one of our two inaugural Visiting Scholar positions:

Visiting Scholar, Design for Human Experience: What is the human experience of space? The Design for Human Experience scholar’s goal is to democratize the pursuit of human-centric principles and insights in the built environment by developing innovative simulation tools for Autodesk software.  For more details, see our job description.

Visiting Scholar, Intelligent Construction: Dive into the world of data-connected construction as we target emerging sustainability trends and explore the translation of research to the construction site. The Intelligent Construction Scholar will help empower customers to design and build low-waste, cost-effective buildings that can adapt to dynamic supply chains and construction environments. For more details, see our job description.

Both Visiting Scholar positions are paid, consultative roles lasting between 6 and 9 months and are not considered offers of employment at Autodesk.

We’re excited to embark on this new initiative and look forward to the contributions our Visiting Scholars will bring.
