Biography

Xin Yang is a Senior Research Scientist at Autodesk Research with the Construction Industry Futures team. His expertise lies at the intersection of AI/ML, sensing systems, and data privacy, with a focus on developing practical, trustworthy data-driven workflows for intelligent construction. His work enhances decision-making, improves efficiency, and advances the next generation of construction digital twins.

Xin holds a PhD in Computing Science from the University of Alberta, where his research focused on privacy-preserving algorithms for multimodal sensor data using generative models. He is passionate about translating cutting-edge research into real-world impact and values interdisciplinary collaboration. His vision is to enable a more intelligent and sustainable built environment through the responsible integration of AI.
