Biography
Mark Davis is a Senior Director in Industry Futures, leading the Autodesk Research team in Media and Entertainment. He is responsible for identifying future industry problems, developing groundbreaking research to demonstrate potential solutions, and collaborative relationships with strategic partners in media and entertainment.
Mark is a multi-disciplinary design leader, seasoned technologist, and thought leader in design, user experience, entertainment, and generative design. He is a pragmatic entrepreneur with the ability to influence and drive strategies that have impact. He and his team research future problems, explore new technologies, engage with world-class partners, and accelerate adoption into the Autodesk portfolio.
Over the last several years, Mark led groundbreaking research into new approaches to apply industrialized construction to affordable, sustainable housing with Autodesk Research’s industry partner, Factory OS. His past Industry Futures projects include working on generatively designed furniture with Philippe Starck, on a Deep Space Lander prototype with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab, and optimized designs for motorsports with Mercedes Grand Prix.
Mark is passionate about designing delightful products, as well as novel approaches to sustainable transportation and architecture. He also has a bottomless curiosity into new approaches to augment human creativity using artificial intelligence.
